New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Manchester’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Block Steakshop, at Unit 15 Hatch Court, 103 Oxford Road, Manchester was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on August 8.

And Best Taste Lunch House, at 4a Woolley Street, Manchester was given a score of one on August 11.

It means that of Manchester's 1,487 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 1,013 (68%) have ratings of five and just six have zero ratings.
