Road closures: six for Bury drivers this week

And five of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 9pm March 16 to 7am September 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound, junction 4 - three lane closures and carriageway closures due to barrier scheme.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

M60, from 9pm September 5 to 5am September 10, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 17 to 18 - carriageway closure for drainage.

M66, from 8pm September 6 to 6am September 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 southbound, junction 3 to 4 - Lane closure and slip road closure for White Lining/Road Markings.

M66, from 9pm September 6 to 6am September 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 southbound, junction 1 slip road closure due to white lining works.

M66, from 8pm September 19 to 6am September 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 northbound, junction 2 to 3 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

M60, from 9pm September 19 to 7am September 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound, junction 4 - three lane closures and carriageway closures due to barrier scheme.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
