Road closures: six for Bury drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Bury will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Bury will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 8.30pm October 18 to 5am December 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions J18 to J16 - lane closure for construction improvement/upgrade.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M66, from 9pm December 11 to 5am December 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 southbound, junction 2 entry slip road closure due to drainage.

M60, from 9pm December 12 to 5am December 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J19 to J18 - lane closure for barriers - permanent.

M60, from 9pm December 18 to 5am December 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 18 to junction 19 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

M60, from 9pm December 19 to 5am December 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 18 to junction 19 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

M66, from 9pm December 20 to 5am December 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 both directions junction4 to junction2 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
