Road closures: more than a dozen for Bury drivers this week

Drivers in and around Bury will have 15 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And nine of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 8pm February 20 to 5am February 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J19 to J18 - Lane closure for barrier/Fence Safety Repairs.

• M60, from 8pm February 14 to 5am February 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 19 to M60B, junction 17 - carriageway closure for drainage.

• M66, from 5am January 6 to 5am February 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 southbound, junction 1 southbound, lane one closure due to drainage works.

• A56, from 8pm January 24 to 6am April 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, junction 4 - 0 lane closures carriageway closures due to lining works.

And a further 11 closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M62, from 9pm February 21 to 6am March 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, junction 4 - two lane closures and carriageway closures due to barrier works.

• M60, from 9pm February 21 to 5am February 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 16 - 17 Lane closures for sign erection.

• M60, from 9pm February 23 to 5am February 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 18 - carriageway closure for signs - Erection.

• M60, from 8pm February 24 to 5am February 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 18 - carriageway closure for signs - Erection.

• M66, from 8pm February 25 to 6am February 26, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, junction 2- carriageway closure for Structure - maintenance.

• A56, from 9pm February 27 to 5am March 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 southbound, junction 0 - two lane closures and slip road closure for drainage.

• M60, from 8pm February 28 to 5am March 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 19 to M60B, junction 17 - carriageway closure for drainage.

• M60, from 8pm March 1 to 5am March 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60, junction 18 roundabout lane closures due to structure maintenance works.

• M60, from 8pm March 1 to 6am March 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise J16 to J18 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 8pm March 2 to 6am March 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise J16 to J18 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 9pm March 7 to 6am March 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anticlockwise, junction 16 - 19 - M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 18 - 19 - M66 northbound and southbound, junction 4 - two lane closures and slip road closures due to improvements.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
