Drivers in and around Bury will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Bury will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M60, from 8.30pm January 4 to 5am January 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions J17 to J18 - lane closure for central reservation on behalf of National Highways.

M66, from 9pm January 4 to 5am January 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 southbound, junction2 to junction3 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

M66, from 9pm January 4 to 5am January 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 southbound, junction 1 to junction 2 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

M60, from 8pm January 6 to 6am January 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J19 to J19 - carriageway closure for electrical works.

A56, from 9pm January 6 to 5am January 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 both directions junction2 to junction1 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
