Road closures: five for Bury drivers over the next fortnight
Drivers in and around Bury will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

Hide AdThe latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• M60, from 8.30pm October 18 to 5am December 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions J18 to J16 - lane closure for construction improvement/upgrade.
And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M66, from 8pm November 6 to 6am November 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 southbound, J3 to J4 - lane closure for communications.

Hide Ad• A56, from 8.30pm November 11 to 5am November 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, junction 0 - two lane closure carriageway closure due to maintenance works.
• M66, from 8.30pm November 12 to 5am November 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 both directions, junction 2 to junction 3 - carriageway closure for horticulture (cutting and planting).
• M66, from 8pm November 17 to 5am November 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 both directions, junction 2 to junction 4 - lane closure for litter clearance.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
