Road closures: a dozen for Bury drivers this week

Drivers in and around Bury will have 12 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And seven of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 9pm January 23 to 6am January 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise jct 16 - M62 eastbound, junction 19 - M62 westbound, jct 19 - M60 anticlockwise jct 17 - M60 anticlockwise - M66 northbound, jct three - M66 southbound, jct three - M60 anticlockwise jct 19 lane closures and slip road closures and carriageway closures due to survey works.

• M60, from 9pm October 24 2022 to 6am February 11 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 17 to junction 18 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M66, from 8pm January 18 to 6am February 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 northbound, J1 to J1 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M66, from 8pm January 24 to 6am February 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 southbound, J1 to J1 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M60, from 8.30pm January 31 to 5am February 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 18 to junction 19 - Lane closure for communications.

• M66, from 8pm February 1 to 6am February 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 southbound, J1 to J2 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

• A56, from 8pm February 3 to 7am February 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A56 northbound, M66 j1 to Bent Gate - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

• M60, from 8pm February 6 to 6am February 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J20 to J20 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

• M60, from 9pm February 6 to 6am February 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise jct 16 - M62 eastbound, junction 19 - M62 westbound, jct 19 - M60 anticlockwise jct 17 - M60 anticlockwise - M66 northbound, jct three - M66 southbound, jct three - M60 anticlockwise jct 19 lane closures and slip road closures and carriageway closures due to survey works.

• M60, from 9pm February 10 to 5am February 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 18 - 20 Lane closures and closure of slips due to general maintenance works.

• M60, from 8pm February 12 to 5am February 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 southbound, junction 2 to 4 lane closure and carriageway closures due to barriers.

• M60, from 9pm February 13 to 6am February 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise jct 16 - M62 eastbound, junction 19 - M62 westbound, jct 19 - M60 anticlockwise jct 17 - M60 anticlockwise - M66 northbound, jct three - M66 southbound, jct three - M60 anticlockwise jct 19 lane closures and slip road closures and carriageway closures due to survey works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
