Bury's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Bury's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that seven closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M66, from 10.30pm February 21 to 5am February 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 both directions, junction 2 to 3 - carriageway closure for barrier repairs.

M60, from 8pm February 24 to 5am February 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J16 to J17 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

A56, from 9pm February 26 to 5am February 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, jct two to 1 - lane closures and carriageway closure for barrier repairs.

M66, from 8pm February 28 to 6am February 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 southbound, J3 to J4 - lane closure for signs - erection on behalf of National Highways.

M60, from 8pm February 28 to 5am February 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J19 to J20 - lane closure for drainage on behalf of National Highways.

M66, from 8pm February 28 to 5am February 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 northbound, J3 to J2 - lane closure for structure - maintenance on behalf of National Highways.

M66, from 9pm March 4 to 5am March 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound, junction 3 exit slip road closure due to works for TfGM.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
