Bury road closures: seven for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight
Bury's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And five of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

Hide AdThe latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• M60, from 9pm February 8 to 6am February 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J18 to J19 - carriageway closure for white lining/road markings.
And a further six closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M60, from 8.30pm February 12 to 5am February 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 18 to junction 19 - lane closure for communications on behalf of National Highways.

• A56, from 9pm February 14 to 5am February 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, junction 0 - two lane closure carriageway closure due to barrier repairs.
• M66, from 10.30pm February 21 to 5am February 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 both directions, junction 2 to 3 - carriageway closure for barrier repairs.
• M60, from 8pm February 24 to 5am February 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J16 to J17 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
