Bury road closures: four for motorists to avoid this week

Bury's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And they are all are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 9pm March 16 to 7am September 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound, junction 4 - three lane closures and carriageway closures due to barrier scheme.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

M60, from 9pm August 22 to 5.30am August 26, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 18 - 20 Lane closures and closure of slips due to general maintenance works.

M66, from 9pm August 30 to 5am September 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, j3 to j2 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

M60, from 9pm September 5 to 5am September 10, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 17 to 18 - carriageway closure for drainage.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
