Bury road closures: five for motorists to avoid this week
Bury's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And they are all are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

Hide AdThe latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• M60, from 9pm March 16 to 7am September 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound, junction 4 - three lane closures and carriageway closures due to barrier scheme.
And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:
• M66, from 9pm August 30 to 5am September 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, j3 to j2 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.

Hide Ad• M60, from 9pm September 5 to 5am September 10, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 17 to 18 - carriageway closure for drainage.
• M66, from 8pm September 6 to 6am September 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 southbound, junction 3 to 4 - Lane closure and slip road closure for White Lining/Road Markings.
• M66, from 9pm September 6 to 6am September 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 southbound, junction 1 slip road closure due to white lining works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
