Bury road closures: a dozen for motorists to avoid this week

Bury's motorists will have 12 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And nine of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 8pm February 12 to 5am February 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise jct 17 - 18 lane closures due to maintenance works.

• M60, from 8pm February 12 to 5am February 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 southbound, junction 2 to 4 lane closure and carriageway closures due to barriers.

• M60, from 9pm February 6 to 6am February 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise jct 16 - M62 eastbound, junction 19 - M62 westbound, jct 19 - M60 anticlockwise jct 17 - M60 anticlockwise - M66 northbound, jct three - M66 southbound, jct three - M60 anticlockwise jct 19 lane closures and slip road closures and carriageway closures due to survey works.

• M66, from 8pm January 18 to 6am February 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 northbound, J1 to J1 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M66, from 8pm January 24 to 6am February 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 southbound, J1 to J1 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M66, from 8pm February 1 to 6am February 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 southbound, J1 to J2 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

And a further six closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M60, from 8pm February 13 to 7am February 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 16 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

• M60, from 9pm February 13 to 6am February 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise jct 16 - M62 eastbound, junction 19 - M62 westbound, jct 19 - M60 anticlockwise jct 17 - M60 anticlockwise - M66 northbound, jct three - M66 southbound, jct three - M60 anticlockwise jct 19 lane closures and slip road closures and carriageway closures due to survey works.

• A56, from 8pm February 17 to 6am July 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A56 northbound and southbound, M66, junction 1 to Bent Gate - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

• M60, from 9pm February 20 to 6am February 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise jct 16 - M62 eastbound, junction 19 - M62 westbound, jct 19 - M60 anticlockwise jct 17 - M60 anticlockwise - M66 northbound, jct three - M66 southbound, jct three - M60 anticlockwise jct 19 lane closures and slip road closures and carriageway closures due to survey works.

• M60, from 9pm February 27 to 6am March 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise jct 16 - M62 eastbound, junction 19 - M62 westbound, jct 19 - M60 anticlockwise jct 17 - M60 anticlockwise - M66 northbound, jct three - M66 southbound, jct three - M60 anticlockwise jct 19 lane closures and slip road closures and carriageway closures due to survey works.

• M60, from 9pm February 27 to 5am March 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 18 to 20 - carriageway closure for Structure - maintenance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
