A Bury drinking establishment has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

The Elephants Trunk Ltd T/A The Major, a pub, bar or nightclub at 158-160 Bolton Street, Ramsbottom, Bury was given the score after assessment on July 1, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Bury's 70 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 56 have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
