Road closures: three for Bolton drivers this week

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 8pm June 28 to 6am December 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 northbound and southbound, junction 1 - nine - Lane closure for communications.

And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:

M61, from 9pm November 4 to 5am November 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 northbound and southbound, junction 4 to junction 3 - lane closure for sweeping of carriageway.

M60, from 11pm November 12 to 5am November 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 16 to junction 17 - carriageway closure for barrier/Fence Safety Repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
