Road closures: five for Bolton drivers this week

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 8pm February 2 to 6am April 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 northbound and southbound, junction 1 to 9 - Lane closure for Structure - maintenance.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

M61, from 9pm March 30 to 5am April 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 northbound, junction 4 to junction 5 - Lane closure for barriers - Permanent.

M61, from 8pm April 2 to 6am April 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 southbound, J8 to J4 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

M60, from 11pm April 3 to 6am April 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 northbound and southbound, Kearsley Spur to J3 - carriageway closure for Structure - maintenance.

M61, from 9pm April 5 to 5am April 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 northbound and southbound, j6 to j4 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
