Road closures: five for Bolton drivers over the next fortnight
Drivers in and around Bolton will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

Hide AdThe latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A580, from 9pm July 17 to 6am July 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M6 North and southbound, junction 21A - 26 lane closures and carriageway closures due to improvement works.
And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A580, from 9pm July 24 to 6am July 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M6 North and southbound, junction 21A - 26 lane closures and carriageway closures due to improvement works.

Hide Ad• M61, from 8pm July 28 to 5am July 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 northbound, junction 4 to 5 - lane closure for horticulture (cutting and planting).
• M65, from 8pm August 3 to 5am August 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M65 eastbound, jct three - four lane closures due to maintenance.
• M61, from 8pm August 7 to 6am August 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 southbound, J5 to J3 - lane closure for communications.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
