New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Bolton’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Hulton Fish Bar, at 412 Hulton Lane, Bolton was handed a two-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 23.

And Mexican Villa Ltd, at 610 Blackburn Road, Bolton was given a score of one on January 23.

It means that of Bolton's 387 takeaways with ratings, 138 (36%) have ratings of five and just three have zero ratings.
