Bolton road closures: two for motorists to avoid this week

Bolton's motorists will have two road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And they are both are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 8pm June 28 to 6am December 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 northbound and southbound, junction 1 - nine - Lane closure for communications.

And one more closure will begin over the next seven days:

M60, from 11pm November 12 to 5am November 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 16 to junction 17 - carriageway closure for barrier/Fence Safety Repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
