Bolton road closures: three for motorists to avoid this week

Bolton's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start this week:

• M60, from 8pm February 13 to 5am February 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anticlockwise, junction 16 to 17 - slip road closure for litter clearance.

• M602, from 8pm February 17 to 5am February 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J11 to J12 - lane closure for horticulture.

• M61, from 9pm February 17 to 7am February 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 southbound, junction 5 - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
