And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start this week:

M60, from 8pm June 28 to 5am September 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 northbound and southbound, junction 1 - nine - Lane closure for communications.

M61, from 8pm July 3 to 5am July 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 southbound, junction 6 - four Lane closure for structure maintenance.

M65, from 9pm July 4 to 5am July 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M65 eastbound and westbound, j3 to j4 - carriageway closure for White Lining/Road Markings.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
