Bolton road closures: seven for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight
Bolton's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

Hide AdThe latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A580, from 9pm September 4 to 6am September 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M6 North and southbound, junction 21A - 26 lane closures and carriageway closures due to improvement works.
And a further six closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M61, from 9pm September 11 to 5am September 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 southbound, J5 to J3 - carriageway closure for white lining/road markings.

• M61, from 9pm September 15 to 5am September 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 northbound and southbound, junction 6 to junction - Lane closure for Horticulture (Cutting and Planting).
• M61, from 9pm September 16 to 5am September 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 northbound and southbound, junction 5 to junction 4 - Lane closure for Horticulture.
• M61, from 9pm September 17 to 6am September 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 northbound and southbound, junction 2 - four lane closures due to maintenance works.
