Bolton road closures: four for motorists to avoid this week

Bolton's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M60, from 8pm June 28 to 6am November 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61 northbound and southbound, junction 1 - nine - Lane closure for communications.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

M61, from 8pm August 9 to 6am August 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 northbound, junction 3 to junction 4 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

M61, from 8pm August 10 to 6am August 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 southbound, J6 to J5 - Lane closure for drainage.

M60, from 8pm August 13 to 6am August 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise jct 15 to jct 15 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
