Bolton's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Bolton's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M61, from 8pm October 12 to 5am October 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 southbound, J3 to J1 - lane closure for structure - maintenance.

M61, from 10pm October 14 to 10am October 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M61, junction 3 - A666 northbound and southbound, carriageway closure due to maintenance works.

M61, from 8pm October 23 to 6am October 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 both directions J4 to J6 - lane closure for structure - maintenance.

M58, from 9pm October 23 to 6am October 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M6 North and southbound, junction 21A - 26 lane closures and carriageway closures due to improvement works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
