A Bolton restaurant has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Westhoughton Golf Club, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Long Island Off School Street, Westhoughton, Bolton was given the maximum score after assessment on August 29, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Bolton's 431 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 242 (56%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
