Rex Orange County

The English singer-songwriter, whose real name is Alexander James O’Connor, is bringing his music to the Castlefield Bowl.

He plays Manchester on Thursday 7 July, with doors opening at 5.30pm.

Strictly Come Dancing: Here Come The Boys

Some of the most famous professional dancers on TV are returning to the Bridgewater Hall for another dazzling performance following last year’s sold-out show.

Aljaž Škorjanec, Pasha Kovalev, Sam Salter and Michael Dameski will take to the concert hall’s stage for a night featuring ballroom, Latin, commercial, contemporary, ballet, acro and tap.

Northern Fashion Week

An industry-first pioneering event, Northern Fashion Week will take place between 4 July and 9 July 2022, with the main event at Manchester Central from Thursday 7 July to Saturday 9 July.

It aims to champion northern talent in fashion and develop and drive forward the industry in the region.

LEGO store in Manchester’s birthday bash

The LEGO store in Manchester is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a weekend of special events on 2 and 3 July.

There will be magicians, a life-sized LEGO character, a treasure hunt and plenty of photo opportunities for social media, while the first 250 people through the doors will get goodie bags.

On the Saturday there will also be free face painting, while on Sunday there will be a Make and Take activity which invites fans to build a small birthday cake and take it home for free.
