GRUB Food Fair

This Friday 18 February and Saturday 19 February you’ll find a line-up of food stalls cooking a grub selection fresh to order right before your eyes by some of the UK’s most passionate street food chefs.

Situated at The Red Bank Project in the Green Quarter, the Grub Food Fair celebrates small independent businesses. There will also be a bar offering locally sourced craft beers, spirits, cocktails, wines, sodas and hot drinks.

Entry is free and dogs are also welcome.

Film: ‘Nobody Loves You and You Don’t Deserve to Exist’

Following the successful first screening of the latest maverick independent feature film from the great city of music and culture, named ‘Nobody Loves You and You Don’t Deserve to Exist’, a second screening is coming to Chapeltown Picture House on Saturday 19 February.

The event aims to give people looking to find a career in the industry, the opportunity to socialise and network with the film’s cast and crew and, more importantly, with each other.

Manchester Open Door Tours

As part of the 2022 Manchester Open Exhibition, a series of special gallery tours are taking place on selected Saturdays, led by a diverse range of artists, experts, community representatives and cultural leaders from Greater Manchester. Each host will choose a selection of their favourite works.

This Saturday 19 February, Underbank Studio’s co-founder Luca Shaw will be giving her take on the pieces that she found particularly inspiring –  focusing on women, craft and print.

Crafty Families

The Lowry theatre is hosting Crafty Families this Saturday, where families can participate in an art class with a different theme each week.

Artist Charlotte Dearman will help you to create your own block print inspired by the theatre’s newest production, The Smartest Giant in Town, and during the session, you will be taught how to design you own foam tile and create a print from it.

Participants will get the chance to leave the session having created their own piece of art.

The theatre adaptation of best-selling kids’ book Smartest Giant in Town also runs alongside it from Thursday to Saturday, with some limited tickets still available.
