Manchester Film Festival

Manchester Film Festival will once again take place from 12th-20th March at the Odeon in Great Northern, showcasing films from around the world.

Over 130 films will be shown on the big screen in Manchester for the very first time, with eighty of the selected films being from the UK.

There will be a mix of narrative feature films, documentary filmed as well as short film sessions. Many of the filmmakers will also be in attendance to take part in Q&A sessions.

Coronation Street: The Tour

Now if you’re a fan of Coronation Street, then hold onto your seat as The Tour is returning this weekend after a two-year break.

Guests will get the chance to see the hidden world of the nation’s most-famous cobbles at the external sets at MediaCityUK in Salford.

The tour lasts 90 minutes and fans will get to walk around all the famous sets of the Rovers Return, Roys Rolls, Underworld, The Kabin, and so much more. There’ll also be plenty of chances to get that all-important selfie.

Lakeside Dining Domes at Heaton Park

Heaton Park has revealed a new trio of scenic lakeside dining domes. Situated in Manchester’s largest park with stunning views of the lake and gardens, the domes are private and heated to ensure maximum comfort for guests.

There’s a seasonal menu that features a number of different afternoon tea options, and even has some vegan options to choose from as well. As the Grade-I listed Heaton Hall is nearby why not make a day of it.

Bedknobs and Broomsticks at The Lowry

Disney’s classic movie Bedknobs and Broomsticks has made its world premiere as an exciting new stage musical and is coming to The Lowry next week.

Audiences will enter a world of magic and fantasy when this spectacular new musical flies into Salford this March for eight performances only.

You can expect to hear original songs as well as new music and lyrics to help bring the play to life.
