The UK’s number one cocktail bar is coming to Manchester from London, taking over Blinker Bar in Spring Gardens for one night only.

Satan’s Whiskers, located in Bethnal Green, London, took the top spot in last year’s Top 50 Cocktail Bars awards in the UK, and ranked 23rd in the The World’s 50 Best Bars.

Satan’s Whiskers will be bringing their cocktail creations to Blinker Bar on Tuesday 22 August from 7-10pm.

Before the evening gets underway, Satan’s Whiskers will also be holding a masterclass from 1-3pm to promote their new book Roundbuilding, written by the bar’s owner Kevin Armstrong and long-serving barman Daniel Waddy, who will both be at the Manchester event. The book is all about good practices in bartending based on their wealth of experience and success.

The takeover will include five of the bar’s signature drinks, including the Maple Highball (Jack Daniels Bonded, Lillet, pear, Verjus and maple soda) and Carmen’s Kick (Herradura Blanco, Velvet Falernum, lime, Orgeat and orange blossom). All drinks on the menu will be £10.

Blinker Bar is one of the top bars on Manchester’s growing cocktail scene. They take their name from the classic cocktail, made from rye, grapefruit and raspberry.
