Caribbean Rocks Festival
Bowlers Exhibition Centre, Saturday 17 – Sunday 18 September
The king of dancehall Beenie Man is heading up Caribbean Rocks this weekend, a festival celebrating the music and culture of the Caribbean.

Hide AdThere will be fairground rides, Caribbean food, and DJs playing out the all the biggest dancehall, bashment, soca and reggae tunes on both indoor and outdoor stages.
There is a pre-party on Saturday and the festival continues on Sunday.
This is an 18+ event. Tickets start at £13.20 for the Saturday and £35.20 for the Sunday. VIP ticket options are also available. More information can be found on the Caribbean Rocks website.
The Magic of Motown
The Bridgewater Hall, Friday 16 September
The long-running Motown show is back at the Bridgewater Hall this Friday. The production’s talented singer will be bringing you all the classics from Motown legends including Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, The Supremes, The Four Tops, Martha Reeves, The Jackson 5, Smokey Robinson and more, all accompanied by a live band.

George Ezra
AO Arena, Saturday 17 September
Due to the sell-out success of the Friday date, singer George Ezra, known for hits such as Shotgun and Budapest, has added another Manchester night to his tour.
Tickets start at around £44.50 and can be purchased on the AO Arena website.
Tabletop Gaming Live 2022
Victoria Warehouse, Saturday 17 – Sunday 18 September
A massive gaming convention is coming to Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse this weekend.

Hide AdThere will be workshops on topics like how to become a games-master and how to create your own RPGs, as well as demos for you to test out the latest games from your favourite publishers.
The stalls will close at 6pm but for all the late-night gamers, the gaming area and bar will be open on Saturday until midnight. Pop-up food stalls will also be providing refreshments during the day.
Adult tickets cost £16 for the day and £26 for two days, children’s tickets cost £11 for the day and £16 for two days. There are also family ticket options. Children 10 and under get in for free. More information can be found on the Tabletop Gaming Live website.
David Baddiel – Jews Don’t Count
The Lowry, Monday 12 – Saturday 17 September
David Baddiel is bringing his bestselling book Jews Don’t Count to the stage for a whole week of shows at The Lowry in Salford. The book, which won The Times Politics Book of The Year 2021, discussing the comedian’s view on the current climate, focusing on race and discrimination. The unscripted show features readings from the book, as well as an improvised audience Q&A.
