Two bands who dominated the music scene in the 1990s are going on tour together- and they’re coming to Manchester. The Smashing Pumpkins will be joined by Weezer at Manchester’s new Co-op Live on June 13 2024..

The Smashing Pumpkins exploded in popularity when they formed in 1988 due to their different, psychedelic sound. As a result of this, they've gone on to sell over 30 million albums worldwide and collected two GRAMMY® Awards, two MTV VMAs, and an American Music Award.

Their catalogue is highlighted by the platinum Gish [1991], the quadruple-platinum Siamese Dream [1993], diamond- certified Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness [1995], platinum Adore [1998], and gold Machina/The Machines of God [2000]. The 2024 tour will come six years after one of their most successful tours, the ‘Shiny and Oh So Bright’ tour.

Weezer are another band who need little to no introduction. Formed in the early 1990s, this will be their first UK tour since being part of the Hella Mega Tour with Green Day and Fall Out Boy.

Weezer’s music has been streamed billions of times with the band selling over 10 million albums in the U.S. and over 35 million records worldwide since their debut album’s release in 1994. Their catalogue has included such mega hits as “Buddy Holly,” “Undone (The Sweater Song),” “Say It Ain’t So,” “El Scorcho,” “Hash Pipe,” “Island In The Sun,” “Beverly Hills,” “Pork and Beans,” and more.
