The Hundred 2023: Manchester Originals back in action this summer- how to get tickets to Emirates Old Trafford

The Hundred cricket tournament returns for the third straight year, and Manchester Originals will be one again one of eight sides battling it out in August. The games come thick and fast for both the men’s and women’s sides. 

The Originals Men team reached the final of The Hundred last year at Lord’s. It was a close run thing, but Trent Rockets took the title. Both sides will be looking to improve as the tournament progresses.

The Hundred is still relatively new, and has high hopes of bringing in new fans both young and old. The flashy colours and big hitting nature of the tournament has seen thousands of people snap up tickets already, and this looks set to continue through this month. 

Thankfully, there are still plenty of tickets left available for Manchester Originals home games. On each occasion, both the men’s and women’s sides will play on the same day in a series of double headers. 

The first fixture of the competition saw both Originals teams travel down to Cardiff to face the Welsh Fire. The weather prevented even a single ball being bowled in the women’s game, and the men’s match was reduced to 40 balls a side. 

This did, unfortunately, end in a narrow 9 run defeat for the Originals. However, attention turns to the home games now. 

Manchester Originals will welcome Birmingham Phoenix, Southern Brave, London Spirit and the Northern Superchargers. The fixtures and dates of all these home games are below: 

• August 5- London Spirit
• August 7- Birmingham Phoenix
• August 20- Northern Superchargers 
• August 23- Southern Brave

How to buy Manchester Originals tickets

Tickets for The Hundred are available through the competition's official website. You can make an online account and after this, you can take your pick of the matches. Prices vary depending on where you would like to set, and children’s tickets are available for £5. 

Live Music

Like with previous years of The Hundred, fans at Emirates Old Trafford will be treated to live music. The tournament has a partnership with BBC Introducing, meaning that some of the hottest new acts around will be performing.

DJ Roesh and host Harpz Kaur will keep things flowing throughout all of the home matches this season. Music acts will be playing at each match- and these are listed below:

• Manchester Originals vs Birmingham Phoenix – with special guest Antony Szmierek (women’s start 3pm, men’s start 6:30pm)
• Manchester Originals vs Northern Superchargers – with special guest Nxdia (women’s start 11am, men’s start 2:30pm)
• Manchester Originals vs Southern Brave – with special guests Lottery Winners (women’s start 3pm, men’s start 6:30pm)
