The Black Keys will play a gig at Manchester’s AO Arena this week- their first Manchester show in over a decade

American rock duo The Black Keys are coming to Manchester this week as part of a UK tour. The AO Arena gig will be the band’s first show in Manchester since 2012. 

The Black Keys come to Manchester on Thursday June 22 as part of their ‘Dropout Boogie’ tour. As it is their first Manchester gig in over a decade, we’ve taken a look back at the last time they were in town.

On December 11 2012, The Black Keys performed at Manchester Arena as part of their ‘El Camino’ tour. On that night, they played a 20 song set to the adoring Manchester crowd. 

Out of these 20 songs, there were seven each from the albums ‘Brothers’ and ‘El Camino’. There were also three songs from ‘Attack & Release’ as well as one each from ‘Magic Potion’, ‘Rubber Factory’ and ‘Thickfreakness’.
