Scare City is back at a new venue in Manchester - and it’s not for the faint-hearted!
The drive-in cinema was a big hit last Halloween and now has relaunched with some extra attractions at a new venue, the Fives Soccer Centre in Trafford Park, for the whole month of October.
So what can you expect this year? Firstly, there is a new drive-through tunnel where visitors can expect to be spooked by live actors providing some scary surprises.
Then there is a huge 150sq metre cinema screen showing chilling classic movies, from A Quiet Place, The Cabin In The Woods, Insidious and The Grudge.
Also new for 2021 is a walk-through Scare Zone, filled with jumpy photo opportunities for the braver among you in an abandoned petrol station and mocked-up graveyard making up the ‘movie set’ experience - look out for actors provided more thrills and chills.
Finally, there is a bar and food stalls if you need a stiff drink to recover from the shocks!
Is there anything suitable for children there?
The main Scare City attraction isn’t suitable for youngsters of course, with films restricted by age, but this year, there is a Spooky City attraction onsite: with a cinema screen showing a selection of spooky hits for kids such as Coraline, Hocus Pocus and Coco at selected times in the afternoons, mainly at weekends.
How do I get tickets?
Tickets cost £40 per car and give you access to all the attractions plus one movie. You can check the full screening itinerary and book tickets via the Scare City website here.
