S Club paid an emotional tribute to former member Paul Cattermole at their gig at Manchester’s AO Arena last night. The show was the first of their UK tour and the first of two in Manchester.

A range of photos and videos of Paul were shown on the big screen at the arena. Paul died suddenly at the age of 46 earlier this year as a result of an underlying heart condition.

The tour announcement came just weeks before Paul died, and the band billed the first show as a preview of the Good Times Tour. The gig was used to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

During the gig, Bradley McIntosh paid tribute to the fans who turned out in Manchester to see them. He said: "You know what we've been through this last year, it's been so tragic, it's been so sad.”

Later he added: "But we've got you guys, we're here for you and we could not have done it without you guys."

S Club setlist at Manchester AO Arena

The setlist in Manchester saw S Club perform all of their best known hits. Some of the songs were performed for the first time in over 20 years, whilst one song was given its live debut.

In total, S Club performed 19 songs and fans heading to the second night at the AO Arena on September 21 can expect something similar and therefore we doubt you’ll be disappointed. Tickets for the second show can be bought through Ticketmaster.
