Here’s what you need to know about the May edition of the event, including how to enter both races and what the routes are.

When is the next Run Media City event day?

The May race day is due to take place at the end of the month, on Thursday 30 June.

The May races take place between 7pm and 9pm on Thursday, 30 May.

What are the routes of the two races?

The route for both races is the same, and takes runners around the Media City area of Salford.

The route is 2.5k, meaning that it will be two laps for 5k runners and four laps for runners taking part in the 10k.

Runners will take part in a 2.5k loop which starts in the Central Piazza (also know as Piazza Stan Ogden) and will then take in the highlights of media city including the BBC studios, The Lowry Theatre, and the Imperial War Museum.

Can I volunteer at the race event?

The event organisers are always on the lookout for support on race days, and information on how you can volunteer to help out is available through the website.

A spokesperson said: “We always value an extra pair of hands and would love for you to come along and help us!
