Who are Royal Blood?

Royal Blood are a British rock duo, and are made up of Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher.

They initially formed 11 years ago in 2011, and are currently signed to the record label Warner.

Their rise to selling out shows in London and Manchester has presented its troubles. When the duo started out, they couldn’t secure a gig in Worthing ‘for months’, and just resorted to playing a lot of open-mic nights, in a bid to make a name for themselves.

The band developed their music in the Bright Electric studios, getting the attention of and signed by Warner/Chappell Music, the same management company of the Arctic Monkeys.

In 2015, they played the main stage at Reading and Leeds festival 2015 and have previously won Brit Awards, NME Awards and have been nominated for two MTV European Music Awards.
