Peter Kay’s much anticipated return to the stand up stage continues with his huge residency right here in Manchester. The comedian, who is also known for writing the hit show ‘Phoenix Nights’, continues a long run of AO Arena gigs which kicked off last year.

Hide AdThe gigs at the back end of 2022 brought to an end a 12 year pause on stand up tours for Kay. Fans have been eagerly anticipating his fully blown return to the limelight.
With tickets already selling fast and sold out in most cases, thousands of fans will descend on the AO Arena across the coming months to watch the comedian perform live.

Several items are on a banned list and cannot be taken into the venue. The following items are prohibited at AO Arena:
Glass, cans, aluminium bottles or thermoses of any kind including liquid products which can be consumed.
Flammable liquids in any container
Laser pens/pointers
Video cameras, recording devices and professional cameras
Laptop computers, tablet devices, Go Pros or tablets with filming and recording capabilities
Large/golf/metal tipped umbrellas
Knives or weapons of any kind
Illegal drugs or substances
Alcoholic beverages
Signs, banners or flags on poles, staffs or selfie sticks
Animals (except ADUK registered service dogs)
Air horns, whistles, cowbells or other noise-making distractions
Projectiles (frisbees, beach balls, footballs etc)
Aerosol cans (hairspray, deodorant etc )
Fireworks, confetti, glitter bombs or flares
Balloons
Use of wheeled footwear, skateboards

How to get to AO Arena by Metrolink Tram
The AO Arena welcomes some of the biggest names in music, sport and entertainment every year. Thousands of fans descend on the arena for each event, with plenty using the arena’s nearest tram stop which is Victoria.
If you want to get food or drink in the city centre beforehand, then another option for your tram stop is Exchange Square which is surrounded by several top restaurants.
