Bolton’s own Paddy McGuinness has announced his first stand up comedy tour in eight years. The actor and comedian has become a well known star of the screen, with his work with fellow Farnworth comedian Peter Kay being some of his best.

The tour will see Paddy take in theatres and other venues across the country. The local show for Greater Manchester will be at Salford’s Lowry Theatre on March 28 2025- the penultimate date of a huge tour which starts in October 2024.

McGuinness will still be most familiar to fans for his role in Phoenix Nights alongside Peter Kay. McGuiness was also part of the spin off show ‘Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere’.

He has since gone on to become a prominent TV host and personality, hosting dating show Take Me Out for nine years. He returns to the stand up circuit for the first time since 2016.

Upon announcing the tour, McGuinness said: “It’s been eight years since my last tour and there’s lots of things to laugh about! I’m looking forward to getting back in front of a live audience, along with running the gauntlet of cancel culture, click bait and fake news!”
