Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds bring Manchester royalty Happy Mondays for Sheffield gig - get tickets

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are heading to Sheffield for a major concert at the Don Valley Bowl in September. With him, the Oasis icon is taking fellow Manchester band Happy Mondays, as well as The Cribs, The Joy Formidable and Somebody’s Child.

The show is part of the Rock N Roll Circus, a series of weekend concerts staged at the huge bespoke Big Top venue specifically built for the music event. Gallagher’s performance on Friday September 1 is the first of three days of concerts in the South Yorkshire venue.

Speaking on the announcement, a spokesperson for Rock N Roll Circus said: “We’re proud to be bringing our event to South Yorkshire. Sheffield has such a strong tradition for Live music, we’re delighted to be able to host our touring concept there.

“Noel is a living legend, his live shows are always amazing, featuring songs across his 30 year career. The first tracks to be heard from his new album ‘Council Skies’ are great with the album to be released before he arrives in Sheffield. Stay tuned for more major artist announcements.”

Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds are releasing their second studio album Council Skies on June 2. The former Oasis singer and his band have already released two singles, Pretty Boy and Easy Life.

Salford support act Happy Mondays became icons of the “Madchester” scene in the 1980s and 90s, and were one of the flagship bands of the legendary record label Factory Records. The band, fronted by the iconic Shaun Ryder is set to bring all their classics to Sheffield for a night to remember.

Tickets for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds at Rock N Roll Circus on Friday September 1 will go on presale Wednesday March 1 at 10 am. General sale goes on sale on Friday March 3 at 10 am via Rock N Roll Circus.
