You don’t need an excuse to treat your mum, but that’s exactly what Mother’s Day is for. It is a time to celebrate the most important women in our lives and show them just how thankful we are for everything that they do for us.

This year, the holiday falls on Sunday 19  March and there are plenty of events taking place in Manchester – from painting classes to river cruises. If a card and a bunch of flowers just won’t cut it this year, here are some Mother’s Day deals and events to surprise your mum with this year.

Mums can get a free glass of prosecco or Schloer with their meals this Mother’s Day, as well as a free cupcake to take home. Indian restaurant Zouk recommends their unique roast dinner sharing platter to accompany the bubbly. For £25 per person, you get three roasted meats and all the trimmings and Zouk’s special spicy gravy. If you’re dining with children, they also have a kids version of the roast dinner for £9.95, which comes with an ice cream sundae. There will also be an Instagram-worthy pop-up flower display, where you can take pictures with your mum.
