If you have been out and about in Manchester this week, you might have spotted (or used) a taxi with some different branding on show. A brand new, Manchester exclusive Mario kart style VR karting experience is behind the new look cabs.

To add to the excitement, if you take a selfie with one of the taxis and post it on social media you’ll be entered into a competition to win 2 tickets to Chaos Karts. The one of a kind UK experience opens in Manchester in September.

Chaos Karts, throws players who are aged 11 and over into a virtual world, that’s just like being inside a real-life video game, to race-battle their friends, family or foes. Engineered by The Ents Inc, Chaos Karts combines the worlds of go-karting and augmented Reality.

Each kart is fitted with features to produce real life sensations and reactions to immerse competitors into the ride of their life. The experience comes complete with varying circuit designs, pumping music and most importantly, usable in-kart power-ups and weapons that will allow players to ‘battle’ right up to the finishing line. Karts are fitted with anti-collision technology which means riders can enjoy the experience without helmets or overalls.

In the lead-up to the opening, Chaos Karts are also inviting the public to ‘Design a Track’ for the all-new attraction. Judged by Sky Sports Formula 1 presenter Natalie Pinkham, entrants can submit their unique designs in the form of sketches, computer designs, or even built models for a chance to have their track included as a permanent level at Chaos Karts, along with a weekend in Manchester and tickets to a Chaos Karts experience.

Entrants are encouraged to submit their most creative twists, turns, and adrenaline-pumping elements that will set their tracks apart. You can submit your entry on the Chaos Karts website.
