Greater Manchester’s 133 libraries are being celebrated in a special festival full of events this week (June 7-11). Manchester’s Festival of Libraries is supported by Arts Council England and is full of exhibitions, performances, talks, workshops, dance and installations exploring the world of the arts around Manchester.
Each event is free, and we went down on opening day to Oldham Library to speak to the Executive Director of Manchester City of Literature and Coalesce Dance Theatre - a dance group based in Salford.
You can take a look at the events happening during the festival here.
