It's one company's attempt to lift spirits after Blue Monday.

One company is helping to spread some joy across Manchester this January.  Good Eats has this week attempted to ‘flip the script’ on Blue Monday and provide 500 free meals.

The group has been giving away the meals to customers this week in the form of customisable deli deals. The trays are usually priced at £7.95 but for this week for a limited number of people they will be free.

To get your free meal, simply visit the Good Eats kiosk at Tesco Express on Market Street and quote ‘DELITRAYTODAY’. This will be available between 11am and 5pm until Friday January 19.

Food options include Crispy Chicken Karaage tossed in a spicy Korean sauce with a side of sweet potato wedges and crunchy Asian slaw. Or you can go veggie with Moroccan No ‘Meat’balls in a rich tomato sauce with Persian salad and mac ‘n’ cheese on the side.

Manager of Good Eats Kiosk at Market Street Manchester, Paolo Ruflo said: "Blue Monday doesn't have to be a downer and this is our way of spreading a little joy through good food and positive energy. This campaign is not just about free meals; it's about giving our community a reason to smile during a time that can be challenging for many."
