The Blue Run returns next week and Manchester City are inviting participants to help raise money for the club’s City in the Community charity by racing through the Etihad campus while being covered in blue powder.

The event will take place on Saturday 25 March. There are two distance options to choose from, 2.5km or 5km, and participants can walk, run or even dance the course. Children are also encouraged to take part, running a distance of their choice.

Registration for the Blue Run 2023 has closed, but if you still want to check it out, the race will start at the Etihad Stadium and end at the City Football Academy at 10:30am. There will also be a pre-race warm-up and entertainment to help racers in the mood from 9:30am.

Participants also have the option of taking part at home, where they sign up for fundraising packs and complete distances 5, 10, or even 15km. Each participant receives a t-shirt, medal and training support.

The race supports Manchester’s City’s charity, City in the Community, which helps people in Greater Manchester by promoting healthy lifestyles through football. They also offer youth programmes that focus on physical and mental wellbeing. Each season, they help around 20,000 Manchester residents.
