We try out Manchester Christmas Markets at Piccadilly Gardens - including epic filled Yorkshire Puddings
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
First up was a trip to Piccadilly Gardens - or Winter Gardens as it becomes until December 22 - which is again the hub of this year’s festivities as work continues to get them back to their spiritual home of Albert Square.
There’s stalls galore with the very best food, drink and gifts. The iconic windmill is back and we made an absolute hash of trying to get a nice team shot in the photo booth.

Hide AdOn the food and drink front, the first hot chocolate - with marshmallows and cream of course - went down a treat and we had absolutely zero complaints about the epic loaded Yorkshire Puddings on offer. There’s a Christmas Dinner filling option topped with a healthy portion of mash, which we’re sure is going to be a popular winter warmer for punters looking to soak up the mulled wine. There’s also minted lamb, Mexican chilli beef and other fillings.
In all there’s 240 stalls across nine different locations with the iconic wooden chalets also to be found at Market Street, Cathedral Gardens, Exchange Street, New Cathedral Street, St Ann's Square, Exchange Square, The Corn Exchange and King Street.
