A Greater Manchester gallery is hosting an exhibition to display animation puppets used in iconic films and TV shows. Internationally-renowned, Manchester-based animation studio Mackinnon and Saunders is celebrating 30 years in the animation business with a new free exhibition - including displays of puppets used in the Corpse Bride and Bob the Builder - at Sale Waterside.

Running in partnership with the Manchester Animation festival, a rare selection of original puppets and models created for TV shows and films over the years will be on display from 19 November to 25 January. Other big productions the company has worked on includes Frankenweenie, as well as childhood favourite Fantastic Mr Fox.

We spoke to Peter Saunders, the co-director of Mackinnon and Saunders, about the exhibition.
