A TV star’s viral ‘nightclub’ craze strictly for over 30s is coming to Manchester - and tickets are already selling fast. Line of Duty star Vicky McClure is bringing her Day Fever series of events to Manchester’s New Century Hall on Saturday, March 2.

The actor, and her husband Jonny Owen, have launched a ‘nightclub’ that’s only open during the day so attendees can still catch an early night, with the Manchester event running between 2pm and 8pm.

So far Day Fever, an ironic nod to the Bee Gees hit Night Fever, has held a hugely successful show in Sheffield last month with a second event in the Steel City sold out along with dates in Nottingham, London and Merthyr Tydfil. Now it’s Manchester’s turn with tickets having gone on sale on Tuesday morning.

You might see Vicky DJ herself with tunes chosen by DJ and Reverend and the Makers frontman Jon McClure. People are encouraged to dress smartly as they did during their clubbing days with nostalgic TV shows, films and adverts also shown on a big screen during the events.

Vicky said: “Manchester had to be on our list for Day Fever, it just had to be! It’s a city we all know and love and we can’t wait to bring our disco to such an amazing venue. So get your glad rags on and come and join us for a proper party.”
