Lewis Capaldi has announced he’s going to perform in Manchester next year as part of a UK tour 2023. The UK dates are part of a wider European tour ahead of the release of the new album Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent with Capaldi now spending the remainder of 2022 on an extended break.
Having already debuted the first single off the new album, Forget Me, and seen the single race to the top of the UK Top 40 chart, Capaldi can be seen more recently in the Wham! inspired music video for Forget Me - a nod to the band’s hit Club Tropicana. Speaking about the new album, Capaldi stated that “I don’t want to create a new sound for myself, or reinvent myself. The songs I want to write are emotional songs, about love or loss.”

“I felt like I was sounding better because I was just chilled out in my own gaff. Also, a lot of this record was made with most of the same people who I worked with on the first one: TMS, Phil Plested, Nick Atkinson and Edd Holloway.
“At least one of them’s on almost every song,” he added. Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent is set to be released through EMI on May 19 2023 through all leading musical retailers and album pre-orders through Lewis Capaldi’s website.
