Kendal Calling 2023: lineup including Blossoms, tickets and how to get to festival from Manchester

Kendal Calling, one of the biggest festivals in the north west, has announced its line-up- and no doubt many music lovers from Manchester will be making the trip. Plenty of big names will be performing, including Greater Manchester locals, Blossoms.
Taking place at Kendal’s Lowther Deer Park, Kendal Calling will have some iconic names taking to its stages in 2023. These include Rick Astley and Nile Rodgers & Chic.

Hide AdThe festival in 2023 will take place in the Lake District from July 27-30. Dozens of names have been announced, with Kaiser Chiefs, Kasabian and Royal Blood also set to top the bill.
The north west is set to be very well represented at the festival. As well as Blossoms and Rick Astley, Wigan band The Lathums will also be bringing tracks from their two albums to the festival.
It may not be on Manchester’s doorstep, but for fans of a certain genre of music it will be worth the pilgrimage. Travel options are available from Manchester via rail, car and coach.
How to get to Kendal Calling 2023 from Manchester
Trains
The nearest train station to the festival is Penrith. Some direct services run to the station from Manchester Piccadilly with a journey time of around 90 minutes- further information can be found at Trainline.

Hide AdShuttle buses will be running from Penrith station to the festival site. Times for these are available through the Kendal Calling website and please note the shuttle doesn’t operate on Saturday or Sunday.
Coach
Tickets will be released for official coach journeys to Kendal Calling later in the year. Manchester is amongst the locations you will be able to get a coach from.
How to get tickets for Kendal Calling 2023
Tickets for the three day festival are available through the official site of Kendal Calling. You can sign up to presale tickets through the website and these will be available from 10am on Friday January 27.
