Jason Manford is an English comedian, presenter, actor and singer.

Despite mostly being known for his comedy and stage work, Manford has deep ties in the theatre industry, and has hosted the Laurence Oliver Awards, whilst performing on stage himself.

He has also starred in a number of other West End productions such as Sweeney Todd, The Producers, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Guys and Dolls, and Curtains.

When he was a school-boy, Manford created a band with his two friends, and said that moment got him into singing.

Manford had a lucky route into comedy, as when he was 17 and collecting glasses at the Buzz Comedy Club upstairs at the Southern Hotel in Chorlton, Manchester, a performer didn’t show for their evening set, he stepped in to fill the gap and his comedy career started and the rest, they say, is history.

His most recent work on TV saw Manford star as the hedgehog on the new and popular ITV show The Masked Singer.
